The rules of the road for using LLM Cost Tracker. Plain language where possible.
By creating an account or using LLM Cost Tracker (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
LLM Cost Tracker is an LLM cost attribution and observability platform. It provides an SDK wrapper and dashboard that tracks API usage, token counts, costs, and latency for calls made to third-party AI providers (including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI).
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to keep credentials secure.

When you use the SDK, LLM Cost Tracker receives LLM call metadata: model name, token counts, cost estimates, latency, feature tags, user IDs you supply, and any custom metadata you choose to include.
You are responsible for ensuring the metadata you send does not contain sensitive personal information — for example, do not use a user's email address as a user ID if a privacy-preserving alternative exists.
If you deploy the self-hosted version, your data never leaves your infrastructure. These Terms still govern your use of the software, but clauses relating to our data storage and processing do not apply.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. If your usage exceeds plan limits, we'll notify you before automatically upgrading your plan.
The Free tier (10,000 events/month, 1 project) is provided as-is. We may impose additional restrictions or discontinue the Free tier with reasonable notice.
LLM Cost Tracker and its software remain our intellectual property. The SDK (once published as an open-source npm package) will be licensed under MIT. Your data remains yours.
We target high availability but do not provide a formal SLA at this time. The SDK is designed to be non-blocking — a failure to log an event will never interrupt your application's request. Dashboard downtime does not affect your live application.
We may suspend or terminate your account for material violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days and then deleted, unless you request earlier deletion.
The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that cost calculations will exactly match your AI provider's invoices. Pricing data is maintained by us and may lag provider changes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LLM Cost Tracker's liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice with at least 14 days' notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
